Kathy Larson and Roni Mays are the owners of  Retirement Essentials, Inc.  The firm, established in 1990,  was contracted to manage a nationally recognized pension consulting hotline.  In this capacity they were also responsible for the review and edit of prototype plans in preparation of their IRS submission.  Their specialites included  conducting  IRS and Department of Labor research to adapt regulatory requirements to the plans.  

 At the same time, the Third Party Administration  (TPA) portion of the business started.  

Throughout their tenure as company principals, they grew the company ten-fold, through referrals from satisfied clients and colleagues in the financial services industry.  They currently provide TPA services to  400 clients nationwide.

As hands-on owners and managers, Kathy and Roni maintain the certification as Certified Retirement Services Professionals, a designation awarded by the Institute of Certified Bankers.  Their primary focus is in keeping their client accounts up-to-date with all current regulatory requirements and filings, as well as in managing the day-to-day operations.  They are assisted by an administrative support staff of four individuals, whose average length of service is ten years.
